The Northern California Training Academy is part of The Center for Human Services at UC Davis Extension. We provide training, technical assistance and consultation for 28 Northern California counties. Included are both rural and urban counties with various training challenges for child welfare staff. The Northern Academy brings to the region a training program designed to develop a uniformly high-level of competence in services for families and children. The focus on integrated training across disciplines is a high priority in the region. The Northern Academy is funded by the California Department of Social Services.
